All The Time in the World
Create a timeline for all the scientists from the previous two days. You may use more than one sheet of paper, if necessary. For each of the individuals:
- Label the Birth and Death of the individual
- Label the date of the scientist's greatest accomplishment with a brief description
- The timeline must have color added to it, pictures to help describe the accomplishments are encouraged as well
The Final Word
Choose a scientist that works in the Earth and Space field. It can be anyone that you choose, or one from the list from this week. You will write a two page paper describing the individual and their contribution to the scientific field. The paper should include the following:
- An introduction about the individual- when and where were they born, where they went to school, what events in their childhood had a major impact on them.
- What the individual studies/studied- What is the field in which they work? What is speciality? Why is what they are studying.studied important?
- What was their major contribution to science- What did they do that made them famous? Give a brief description of the discovery and how it came about.
- What impact did the contribution have on science? Did they earn any awards?
- How has this discovery impacted you?
