- Introduction- Be creative, grab the interest of the reader (10 points)
- History of the Innocence Project: When was it founded? Why was it founded? What does the project do? (15 points)
- Impact of the Innocence Project: How has the project impact the public? Forensics? Convicts? (15 points)
- Case Study 1: Describe how the project was successful in a specific case, give a brief description of the case (including important details) (20 points)
- Case Study 2: Describe how the project was successful in a specific case, give a brief description of the case (including important details) (20 points)
- Find a case in which the innocence project was not successful. Describe why you think the case was unsuccessful. If you cannot find an unsuccessful case, explain why. (20 points)
- Personal opinion/conclusion: Do you think the innocence project is still necessary? Who do you think should benefit from the project? Explain your answers with supporting evidence. (20 points)
- References: 3 references minimum, APA format.
Case Studies
Choose a forensic case. You may choose any case that is interesting to you. Write a 3 page paper on that particular case.

- Describe the case, in detail: Describe who, what, when, where, why and how. You should spend a good portion of the why and the how and should take multiple paragraphs to complete. (30 points)
- Describe how the process of how the case was solved. Identify the key pieces of evidence that solved the case. If you chose a cold case, describe what is missing and what impact it would have on the case. (30 points)
- Personal Opinion: What is your opinion of the criminals? What might they have done differently? What might the police have done differently? What did you learn from this? (10 points)
- References: 3 references minimum, APA format. (10 points)
